Privacy policy for LiveFaceSwap AI
Jul 27, 2026

Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how LiveFaceSwap AI handles information when you use livefaceswap.ai, a real-time face swap session, an account feature, the LiveFaceSwap Chrome extension, or LiveFaceSwap Desktop.

Information We Process

Depending on the feature you use, we may process:

  1. Account information, such as your name, email address, authentication credentials, account preferences, and account status.
  2. Camera and reference media, including the camera frames and reference portraits needed to provide a real-time face swap session.
  3. Session and service metadata, such as selected mode or model, session identifiers, timestamps, duration, credit usage, errors, and diagnostics.
  4. Device and network information, such as browser type, operating system, app version, device type, IP address, and security or abuse signals.
  5. Analytics and attribution data, such as page visits, feature interactions, campaign parameters, cookie or anonymous identifiers, and, when you are signed in, an internal account identifier used to associate product interactions across sessions or devices. We do not use your email address or name as the analytics User-ID.
  6. Billing information, such as plan, order, payment status, billing email, tax information, invoice, refund, dispute, and subscription records. Payment card details are handled by the applicable payment provider.
  7. Support communications, including messages and information you choose to provide when requesting help.

Real-Time Media and Facial Data

The browser workspace sends the selected reference image and the camera frames required for a live session to the selected cloud AI provider shown in the product. When a signed-in user starts a live session, LiveFaceSwap AI may also securely store one compressed input-camera frame, a compressed copy of the uploaded reference image, and periodic sampled frames from the AI output for compliance review, abuse prevention, safety, and audit purposes. These limited copies are not a continuous recording and are not made publicly available.

LiveFaceSwap Desktop may store reference images in a library on your device until you delete them. When you use a locally saved reference in a cloud real-time session, the necessary media is transmitted for that session and the same limited compliance copies described above may be stored.

Real-time processing may analyze facial features needed to create the transformation. LiveFaceSwap AI does not provide identity verification, biometric authentication, or sensitive-trait inference. Facial images and related processing may still be treated as personal, sensitive, or biometric information under applicable law.

LiveFaceSwap Chrome Extension

The LiveFaceSwap Chrome extension lets you explicitly select an HTTPS image from a webpage and open the existing LiveFaceSwap website workspace with that image ready to use. The extension does not access your camera, create a separate LiveFaceSwap login session, read page text, collect general browsing history, or continuously monitor the pages you visit.

When you choose a webpage image, the extension receives only that image's HTTPS source URL from Chrome's user-invoked context-menu event. It validates the URL and temporarily stores it with a one-time random nonce and destination-tab identifier in chrome.storage.session for no more than five minutes. The extension does not request access to the source website and does not download the image bytes. It transfers the selected URL once to the specific top-level LiveFaceSwap website tab opened for the request, then deletes the temporary transfer. The raw image and image URL are not placed in the website URL.

The LiveFaceSwap website may then download the selected image without source-site cookies, authentication credentials, or a referrer. Some websites prevent this direct browser import; when that happens, you can save the image and use the website's existing manual upload control instead.

After transfer, the selected image is handled by the existing website workspace and this Privacy Policy applies in the same way as if you had selected the file on the website yourself. Camera access, account login, consent, realtime processing, credits, and billing remain website actions. LiveFaceSwap uses data obtained through Chrome extension permissions only to provide this selected-image handoff, protect the service, comply with law, or complete a transaction initiated by the user. We do not sell this data or use it for personalized advertising. Our use of information received from Chrome APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

How We Use Information

We use information to provide and meter real-time sessions, authenticate accounts, maintain credits and subscriptions, process payments, operate the website and desktop software, prevent abuse, troubleshoot failures, understand product usage, communicate with users, and comply with legal obligations. We also use limited account, session, and technical information to enforce the Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy.

Service Providers and Disclosure

We may share the minimum information needed with providers that support real-time AI processing, hosting, storage, databases, authentication, analytics, email, customer support, security, and payment processing. AI providers may receive camera and reference media needed to run the selected session. Payment providers handle payment details under their own terms.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or asset transfer.

Data obtained through Chrome APIs or extension permissions will be transferred as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or asset transfer only after obtaining the user's explicit prior consent, except when disclosure is independently required by law.

We do not sell personal information.

Retention and Security

Browser and extension reference selections are kept only as needed in the browser unless they are sent to the website workspace or used for a live session. Temporary extension selections and nonces expire quickly and are removed after one-time transfer or expiry. Desktop reference-library files remain on your device until you delete them. The limited private media copies described above—one compressed input-camera frame, compressed uploaded-reference copies, and sampled AI-output frames—may be retained for up to 90 days for compliance review, abuse prevention, safety, audit, enforcement, and legal obligations. First-party page-visit events, including the page path, bounded source query parameters after known sensitive parameters are removed, and the external referrer host, are retained for up to 90 days. URL fragments are not stored. Account, billing, security, support, and legal records may be retained for as long as reasonably needed for the relevant purpose. Order, credit, subscription, transaction-verification, session-metering, and other billing records are not governed by the 90-day private-media retention period. Session metadata and diagnostics are retained for service operation, billing reconciliation, security, and troubleshooting.

Cloud AI providers may apply their own contractual and legal retention requirements to media they process. We do not promise that a provider has zero retention or never uses data for service improvement unless that commitment applies to the provider and service configuration in use.

We use technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the service, including protections for data in transit and access controls where applicable, but no system can guarantee absolute security.

Your Rights and Choices

You can choose not to provide camera access, avoid uploading a reference portrait, delete a Desktop reference, stop a session, update available account settings, or contact us about an account or privacy request. Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or objection, or withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. We may verify your identity before acting on a request.

Some information may still be retained for billing, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, security, enforcement, or legal compliance.

Children

LiveFaceSwap AI is intended only for users who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly provide the service to or collect personal information from children.

Policy Updates

We may update this policy as the product, providers, laws, or business operations change. The date shown above identifies the current version.
